Mandeep, in his earlier years, resided in a village alongside his uncles, grandparents, and a brother. His introduction to Rays Home came through a referral, due to his family's financial constraints, which prevented them from affording his education. Consequently, at the tender age of 11, he found himself placed in a childcare institution.
Mandeep initiated his academic journey at the 8th grade level, progressing until he reached the eighth grade. Simultaneously, he was receiving medical treatment for an eye condition. At the age of 18, he decided to move out, harboring hopes that his extended family would provide the necessary support for his continued education. Regrettably, his expectations were not met, and he faced opposition from his family.
With unwavering determination, Mandeep resumed his studies by enrolling in a government school within his village, commencing in the ninth grade. However, the environment within his household remained tumultuous, as familial pressures persisted to extract financial resources from him. Discontent with this predicament, he reached out to Girish, with whom he shared his plight. Girish, recognizing the need for a change, urged Mandeep to relocate to Jaipur.
Given his incomplete education and persistent eye issues, Mandeep resorted to taking on various odd jobs, such as working as a security guard, before transitioning to a position as a helper at a pharmacy retail chain. This role provided him with a sense of dignity and respect, where he diligently served for two years. Unfortunately, due to recurring eye infections and subsequent difficulties reading and using computers, Mandeep had to discontinue his employment.
It was during this juncture that Girish extended an opportunity to Mandeep to join CLiC as a Dhruva Manager. In this capacity, he oversees the computer lab's operations, ensuring its smooth functioning. Moreover, Mandeep actively engages with careleavers, empathizing with their challenges and assisting in finding solutions. Presently, he finds fulfillment in his role, devoid of work-related pressures, and radiates a sense of contentment in his life.
